“Managing Metric Management in ISO 9001” published in NSAI E_zine

11th Sept 2011    We are glad to report that the article “Managing Metric Management in ISO 9001” from the Goldcert eResource Centre is reaching a wider and wider readership. Last April it was reprinted by the registration body DQS-UL in their InDialog newsletter. This week the article has been included in the quarterly E_zine of the National Standards Authority of Ireland.

The article is based on a paper delivered by Rody Ryan to the 18th Congress of IMECCA, the Mexican Institute for Quality Control in Aguascalientes, Mexico and is a good taster for his forthcoming book on “Compliance Fatigue and how to avoid it”.

It describes how three core elements of ISO 9001 (documentation, record management and action tracking) can provide a powerful framework for implementing and continually improving a metric management system. Such an initiative can go a long way towards bridging the apparent gap between senior management and traditional implementations of the ISO 9001 standard.

The article can be downloaded from our eResource Centre or you can subscribe to NSAI’s E-zine.
